JAPANESE PROGRAM 20TH ANNIVERSARY FILM FESTIVAL
Dear Wildcats,
Our 20th anniversary film festival went very well. Thank you so much for all your support and especially those who were able to join us. In addition to the Kimono booth and Japanese book sale, we had several student clubs and craft vendors participate.
We opened the event with Ann Jordan sensei's speech and enjoyed learning about the 20 years of history about the program with a trivia game. During the alumni panel discussion, Daniel Hayashi (2005) joined from Tokyo, Japan and Brandan Nystedt (2005) joined from Seattle virtually, while Allison Sugahara (2005) and Katie Winkleman (2017) participated in person.
We had a lot of fun spending a day as a community. The proceeds will be donated to the charity Silicon Valley Strong.
どうもありがとうございました!(domo arigatou gozaimashita)
